Villa Toscana
Rough stone, heavy timber, and olive trees on both sides of the glass.

The house is made of three things you can name at a glance: walls of rough-cut pale stone, ceilings of exposed timber beams, and sliding glass that opens the rooms to a terrace of olive trees. The dining room sets a thick plank table and curved-back chairs in front of a stone fireplace, under a single textured dome pendant.
Everything else stays quiet so those materials can carry the rooms. Plaster in warm cream, stone floors, woven jute rugs, linen on the beds, and large aged urns holding olive branches. In the living room a wall of fine vertical slats and two rounded low tables soften the geometry; in the bedroom, light is hidden in a niche and washes down the stone.
Character. Comfort. Permanence.
